Biography
Kathy-Ann Perkins nee Abraham is a daughter of the soil, a quiet and gentle spirit, a wife, and mother of two beautiful and energetic girls. Although her love for art started as far back as in her early childhood, her artistic talent only began to develop in her early teens at Providence Girls’ Catholic School where she earned a grade 1 in Art at CXC Level.
She went on to pursue and earn a degree in Business Administration, all the while she had her hand in many creative projects. Kathy’s Candles was one of her many successes. Her self taught hobby flourished and her annual candle sale was one that was looked forward to by many. For the past 19 years she has produced drawings and assisted in the production of a small but successful children’s carnival band.
With the kids both now at school, Kathy has been empowered once again to pick up her brush and create, experimenting with different mediums and styles. She has had the pleasure of discovering artist Marsha Bhagwansingh with whom she took drawing and oil painting courses. Favoring oils she goes forward full of passion to explore and create in this wide world of art.
